The BMBF regulraly reports on the state of the Germany resaerch and innovation system. Every four years, the Report of the Federal Government on Research is published as a broad portray of research in Germany and its development. Additionally, the BMBF commissions studies to evaluate the different aspects of Germany's technological performance and to analyse the strengths and weaknesses of the German innovation system.
