iMOVE - Training - Made in Germany

"Training Made in Germany" refers to the internationally renowned quality of German initial and continuing vocational training. There is a growing international demand for vocational training from Germany on the global education market. Since 2001, the BMBF has therefore supported the marketing for "Training - Made in Germany" with the iMove initiative (International Marketing of Vocational Education). German education providers can resort to a number of services when preparing and realising their commitment abroad. With "Training - Made in Germany", iMove advertises German competence in initial and continuing vocational training abroad.

The aim of iMOVE, a BMBF initiative located at the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB), is to prepare German programmes and providers in initial and continuing vocational training for international competition and to position them more strongly on the international continuing education market.

iMOVE is a central contact point for both German education service providers and interested groups from abroad. The extensive service of iMOVE includes:

Seminars, workshops and networking events

iMOVE seminars, workshops and networking events provide German continuing education providers with opportunities to develop strategic plans for their commitment abroad and to gain specific insight into attractive markets. Seminars on target markets focus on regions with a great market potential. They enable education providers to prepare in detail for these markets and foreign partners. Strategy workshops provide practical support regarding internal corporate requirements, strategies for market entry and successful marketing abroad.

Delegation visits and participation in trade fairs abroad

iMove delegation visits to countries with a great demand for qualification enable direct talks with decision-makers in public authorities, companies, local industry associations and education institutions. Typical elements of delegation visits are presentations at special trade fairs, vocational training workshops, cooperation fairs and conferences. This provides German education providers with a broad range of possibilities for market research, market monitoring and initiation of collaborations.
