Innovation Groups

for Sustainable Land Management

The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) is providing funding to nine Innovation Groups. By 2019, these Innovation Groups will have developed future-oriented, practicable solutions for using the resource land, focusing on both implementation-oriented research and innovation processes. Research institutions, municipalities, public utilities and regional planners, as well as farmers, energy producers, energy agencies and engineering companies are represented in these teams of scientists and practitioners.

Cultures in Dialogue

The HERA Joint Research Programme "Cultural Encounters"

The publication showcases 14 projects on cultural encounters funded by BMBF. These projects are part of a transnational research programme “Cultural Encounters” which was published by HERA, the European funders’ network on “Humanities in the European Research Area”. Alongside with featuring the projects and their thematic focus, the publication shows what individual researchers gain from researching in a multi-national context, explains HERA, shows why BMBF participates in this network and demonstrates what researchers, funders and the European Union appreciate about HERA.

Käte Hamburger Centers – international cutting-edge research in the humanities

Perspectives for tomorrow´s society
